I've been considering that maybe the soceity is evolving a bit from ice to boiling water. In the beginning America was called the melting pot of the world. I believe this to be true, after all we have brought everyone of all diversities together since the creation. Over time, we have overcome all sorts of obstacles that have come our way.

Well, like any melting pot, things tend to start boiling if left alone long enough.

I believe america is on it's way to boiling over. Part of what happens when water boils, is it gets further and further away from the other water molacules. Things get faster, less connected.

I think this is simular to america. Poeple are getting less and less connected. Take cell phones for example. I walk into a mall and I see all of these people with their cyborg blue tooth cell phone devices. In the past I'd talk to them and make conversation, but now I don't want to interupt someone who might be having a conversation with the plastic peice in their ear. Granted, they believe they are connected, but they are only connected to people they have already established connections with. This makes random connections much less likely than before.

To find a date, for example, folks goto bars or concerts or some other venue to established connections so that they can later communicate through their plastic peices. What about the guy in the grocery store that wants to make a 'love at first sight' connection... these fail, because this person is rude for attempting to establish a connection outside of the normal bounds... without following the rules for establishing connections.

Rules, exactly, that is the problem. People are forgetting more and more that life is more fluid than what rules define. Rules try to make you a square whenever you're a sphere.

Another area where people are becoming more detached and further away is with food. No longer do we see the source of our food. It's deliveried in sterile packaging with no notation of how it got there. We no longer make the connection between cow in field to burger on our plate.

I had a dream last night that I met with guy with blond hair cut crew cut style. He had some kinda disease that started with an L, but it wasn't terminal or anything. He was on some meds to correct his problem caused by this L-disease, I ended up liking him better not on the meds and we became good friends in the dream.

Damnit, some guy has a disease starting with L that has effects I find attractive in a man *and* we end up liking each other...

WTF ? I *like* the effects of a disease, must not be too much of a disease.

I think I have the *most* bizarre dreams of anyone...
